The Summer Color Guard program is targeted toward students entering or currently in junior high (6th-8th grade). Here, students will learn the basics in dance – notably ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary – and on flag, students will perform a small show to parents at the end of the program. Most equipment provided. Some equipment may be purchased on an individual basis. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday
About the instructor: Mallory Moyers. Mallory Moyers has danced for the past 10+ years, nine have been spent at with a primary focus on color guard. Mallory has spent two years as a high school student teacher, and four years as the color guard director at Centralia High School. Mallory is also the color guard and choreography director at Carlyle High School. Mallory’s past experience has also included work with Collinsville High School.
